The Little Acorn is a newly converted holiday apartment lovingly created from an old out building providing the highest standard of holiday accommodation. The beautiful studio apartment is set in the gardens of Oakland House in the popular village of Parkend. It is approached via a flower filled courtyard with water feature and seating of bistro table and chairs. The door is reached by a few steps.

Introduction

The popular village of Parkend is ideally situated right in the centre of the Forest of Dean and is perfect as a base for both cycling and walking. All in walking distance are a village shop, two cafes and two excellent pubs offering delicious food and welcome refreshment.

The Little Acorn is perfect for couples who want to relax and enjoy the beautiful unspoilt countryside. It is ideally situated with cycle/walking trails right outside the gate. Bikes can be hired in the village and the RSPB Nagshead Nature Reserve and the picturesque Cannop ponds are all in walking distance. The Dean Forest Railway runs between Parkend & Lydney and allows vistors to explore the area at a relaxing pace. A short drive and you can enjoy the beauty spots such as Symonds Yat, Tintern Abbey and the beautiful Wye Valley with market towns of Monmouth & Ross.

The Apartment

The immaculately presented accommodation has an open plan living and sleeping area comprising of a king size bed with memory foam mattress, comfortable sofa, tv, dvd player & wi-fi. There is a well equipped kitchen/diner with oven/grill, hob, microwave, fridge freezer, kettle and toaster. A modern tiled bathroom with walk in shower and heated towel rail and all linen provided.

To the side of the property for guests use are chairs, table and a BBQ. Secure storage for bicycles is on hand.

The studio is attached to the owner's own home and is available all year round. There are no fixed start days for both holidays and short breaks so you can choose what's best for you. As the owner lives on site the highest possible standards are ensured and flexible arrival times are available.
